Bio

Serge Trigano graduated in economics from the University of Paris-Assas. He climbed every rung of the ladder at Club Méditerranée, beginning his career in 1968 as GO (Gentil Organisateur). After several seasons as Chef de Village, he was appointed Regional Director for Morocco and Spain, then in 1977 became Director of Worldwide Operations for the Club.

In 1980, Serge Trigano became CEO of Club Med USA. During his five-year tenure, he managed to double both the number of resorts and clients. Recalled to headquarters in 1985, he was named Deputy General Manager, and in 1993 succeeded his father Gilbert as President of the Club. Following a conflict with a shareholder, Serge Trigano left Club Med in 1997.

After a challenging period, he took over the management of Capgemini’s training center in Chantilly in 2002. In 2005, he also was in charge of the training center of Caisses d'Épargne in Béhoust. In 2007, the Partouche group entrusted him with managing their hotel in Forges-les-Eaux, Normandy.

In 2008, Serge and his two sons, Benjamin and Jérémie, opened the first Mama Shelter in Paris’s 20th arrondissement. The innovative Mama Shelter concept disrupted traditional hospitality codes, transforming hotels into vibrant social hubs with restaurants open to local communities. The concept was a success, and Mama Shelter expanded in France and internationally, notably to Los Angeles, London, Rome, and Belgrade. Today, there are 18 Mama Shelters worldwide and about ten more under construction.

In 2021, the Trigano family sold Mama Shelter to the Accor group, while continuing to support their teams in development, design, and restaurant concepts.

Recently, Serge launched “Casa Barbara” with his son Jérémie—modern living spaces for seniors—in partnership with Atream, France’s leading hotel investment fund, and La Carac. Currently, Serge Trigano is preparing, alongside his two sons, the launch of "Oh Baby," with the first location scheduled for spring 2026.

He has published two books: “La saga du Club,” co-written with his father in 1999, and more recently “Trigano loves you.”
